Position Statement: CMSS Opposes Proposed Government Bans on Medical Treatment for Transgender Youth

The Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS), a coalition of 47 specialty societies representing more than 800,000 physicians, strongly condemns the Texas Governor’s actions limiting medical treatment for transgender youth. This proposed government action is in conflict with CMSS’s Policy Statement “Opposing Government Interference in the Patient-Physician Relationship.”
