Patient-Centered Partnerships
Building Meaningful Collaboration to Advance Patient Care and Research
This program brings patients and clinical stakeholders together to comprehensively integrate the patient voice into clinical effectiveness research (CER). Led by CMSS in partnership with the National Health Council (NHC), the collaborative deepens relationships between specialty societies and patient organizations to improve patient outcomes and more effectively engage patients in research through the use of patient-led research scorecards.
CMSS & NHC will convene an Invitation-Only Summit on Patient-Centered Partnerships on October 8, 2024 in Washington, DC. Additional details on the Summit may be found below.

CMSS builds relationships between specialty societies and patient organizations that create new resources, such as Patient-led research scorecards, that are meaningful to patients and clinicians alike. This hybrid convening brought together specialty societies and patient organizations to foster collaborative relationships to integrate the patient voice into patient-centered comparative effectiveness research. Summit speakers also educated patient and physician societies on the use of patient engagement tools, such as the patient-led scorecards, developed by CMSS and the Patient-Led Research Collaborative (PLRC).
