CMSS shares our members’ commitment to ensuring that high-quality, evidence-based healthcare is available and accessible to all patients. We work collaboratively with a broad network of medical societies, healthcare organizations, and patient and public health coalitions to bring forward the latest recommendations and resources to guide quality care.
CMSS is pleased to share access to the evidence-based vaccine recommendations set forth by our member societies on this webpage. These clinical recommendations are rooted in the latest evidence which demonstrates these vaccines are safe and effective.
2025-2026 Combined Respiratory Vaccine Recommendations
CMSS is a partner in the Common Health Coalition, which recently produced an aggregate summary of updated recommendations from various sources for flu, RSV, and COVID-19 vaccines for infants and children, pregnant people, adults 18-50, and adults 50+ based on the latest guidelines. These summary tables provide an overview of vaccine guidance from medical specialty societies across four key demographic groups. The purpose of these tables is to help you quickly identify which medical specialty societies provide guidance on each of the following vaccines:

- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
- Influenza
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
- Meningococcal
- Pneumococcal

How to Read the Tables
A dot (●) means: The medical society provides guidance for that vaccine and demographic combination. This may mean that the guidance recommends the vaccine, recommends it only in certain situations, advises against it, or lists it as contraindicated.
No dot means: The society does not address the vaccine for the demographic group.
Important Notes:
- Presence of guidance ≠ universal recommendation. A dot indicates the society has something to say about the vaccine for that group. It could be a recommendation, a risk-based recommendation, shared decision-making guidance, or a contraindication.
- Absence of guidance ≠ not recommended. No dot simply means the society doesn’t address that particular vaccine-demographic combination.
