On October 8,2024, the National Health Council and the Council of Medical Specialty Societies held a Patient-Centered Partnerships Summit on Building Meaningful Collaboration to Advance Patient Care and Research.
This hybrid convening brought together specialty societies and patient organizations to foster collaborative relationships to integrate the patient voice into patient-centered comparative effectiveness research. Summit speakers also educated patient and physician societies on the use of patient engagement tools, such as the patient-led scorecards, developed by CMSS and the Patient-Led Research Collaborative (PLRC).
